There are so many stories I could tell you which would sound so impressive, look shiny, feel luxurious and leave you with a thought of ‘wow, THIS girl’!
However, the real me, the joyful, spirited optimist who loves nothing more than a conversation rich in curiosity, wonder and delight, couldn’t bring myself to overindulge.
In short, I am a multi-disciplinary story-teller, artist and designer based in Australia. I have worked in the fashion, PR and Marketing industries for 15 years. Some of those years I spent living and working the glamorous life of fashion in New York City, and at times there have been those pinch-me moments flirting with icons like Jimmy Choo and Blake Lively. More recently, I have been illustrating for luxury fashion brands including Max Mara, Michael Kors and Aje. I have had the good fortune of partnering with internationally recognized art galleries, museums and educational institutions where I have taught illustration masterclasses, given keynotes and have been interviewed on multiple media platforms, digital and traditional.
The daughter of a sheep and cattle Grazier and an Art Teacher, my childhood was rich in adventure and creative innovation. Conscious responsibility has always been important to my creative practice, understanding that my decisions, choices and actions ultimately impact something or someone. This understanding, knowledge and respect for the agricultural industries and the important role they play in our lives, specifically the fashion, food and lifestyle industries runs deep and true. I suspect this is where my foray into the fashion industry began: as a young child who had access to an exhilarating world of nature and natural fibres from their very earth source.
Graduating from Fashion Design, I established a fashion label at 23 before accepting an opportunity to work with a leading public relations and branding agency for luxury brands in the fashion and lifestyle industries in New York City. It was a fabulous and fun time of life but it was exhausting! In the Fall of 2014, I decided to come up for air! With an inherent sense of self and pride, a whole lot of optimism and an unwavering belief in what I had to offer I set upon my quest to inspire creativity through story telling. I began to share stories through illustration, art, design, words and video, embracing my love for performance and expression. Researching the creative industries and testing my products and services allowed me to refine my processes and establish myself within the industry.
Committed to developing a co-existence between design, luxury and sustainability without compromising on beauty, aesthetics and functionality, my focus is to educate and inspire brands and their customers to have pride in how they show up and engage in the world. This is what excites me, it’s what I’m good at and it’s something I’ve always known to be innate to me.
